On Thursday, October 19, Air Canada proudly celebrated our annual Canada’s Best New Restaurants Top 10 list at a gala in downtown Toronto.
Guests and chefs from across the country gathered to taste signature dishes from the winning restaurants before the rankings were revealed. Host Cory Vitiello (who nabbed a spot on our 2008 Top 10 list with The Harbord Room) counted down the winners: First-place went to Battuto, a 20-seat Italian diner in Quebec City, and similarly small, chef-run spots nabbed second and third place – Canis in Toronto and Bar Von Der Fels in Calgary, respectively.
